Visited ViVi Verde 2 times during our holiday's in Garfagnana. What a great restaurant with a ( for us ) non typical Italian kitchen. But so great The wine diversity......So good The desserts.....magnificent This small restaurant deserves a medal!! People in Garfagnana.....go to Vergemoli !!

This place is wonderful - great food, really nice service and a nice buzzy atmosphere. We went on a Friday night; the menu had loads of specials of fresh fish - truly delicious. It’s definitely worth the drive and don’t be put off by the slightly ghost town vibe of the village. As far as Garfagnana restaurants go, this place is one of the best.

Probably the best food we’ve tasted in Media Valle for a long, long time. Gorgeous primi, secondi, bread and house red wine. Wonderful taste, flavours, textures and just the right portion size. Traditional regional food with a slight fusion/twist that works 100% in each dish. Sunday, late lunch for us and we hadn’t booked. Carolina and Gabriele, the young proprietors fitted us in and were so welcoming. Plus smiling very happily with any compliments they received. Shows their pride and passion for this new restaurant. Located on the ground floor of an old palace/Vergemoli commune HQ, it was rustic and warm with a lovely atmosphere. They have an outside terrace for summer dining/aperitivo when the weather is warm. With a spectacular panorama! Try it!

The meal at this restaurant absolutely satisfies all the visitors expectations. The service was super friendly and really on top of things. The food was amazing, with fresh ingredients and great flavors. The place has a cool, comfy vibe with stylish decor. Every dish was high quality and I can tell they really care about what they serve. Overall,it’s a great spot that I highly recommend.

Both food and service was perfect! The people were very kind and patient although we don’t speak any Italian. We got the pasta, pork chop, beef stew(which is perfectly tender and flavorful). The dessert is also excellent. The location is in a charming little town in the mountain on the way to the Grotto. Perfect for lunch before or after visiting the cave.
